The Library Project

We have started a Library with the sacred scriptures of all spiritual traditions, and books about spirituality, consciousness, personal growth, ancient teachings, science, healing, healthy living and more. You will be able to check out books starting the 1st of February. If you have a book, used or new, that you want to donate to the Satva Library, please do so by contacting us (309-793-7881). That is what this project is about: sharing the knowledge, teachings and healing with the entire community. Thank you for your support!

So join us for this celebration of women by women, featuring a presentation by Karyn Mitchell, ND, Ph.D. and by Rita Melissano, Ph.D. about alternative ways to be healthy and stay healthy in both body and mind. Refreshments, great entertainment and a flower for every woman will be part of
this special evening. Men are also welcome. $15 per person, $10 students

One of the foremost Iridologists in the USA today, Dr. Karyn Mitchell, N.D., Ph.D., will teach you the science of Iridology, which is based on the premise that there is a map of our body, organs and systems in our irises. You will be able to practice on yourself through a photo of your eyes and identify the marks of specific current health challenges and their causes, how to detoxify the body and incorporate herbal and dietary healing approaches. Requirements: the book “Science and Practice of Iridology” by Dr Bernard Jensen (used copies are available though
the instructor for $25) and an LED penlight. You will receive a certification as a Level I Iridologist from the Midwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. Learning Iridology and natural approaches to living, Dr. Mitchell reports, has been one of the most fulfilling, empowering and life-changing experiences for her students.

Healing Mandalas Workshop

Sat. March 13, from 1-4pm, $25 per person

Mandalas, as complex geometric models of the universe or simply paintings of spiritual insights, have been used for centuries in meditation and prayer and also for healing purposes. Mandalas may be created according to strict rules and sacred rituals, as in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, or freely created, like those of Christian mystic Hildegard of Bingen. This workshop will include centering exercises on the labyrinth, which itself is a type of three-dimensional mandala. For more information about the workshop or to register, please contact our labyrinth specialist Pat McLaughlin, Ph.D. at www.qclabyrinth.org, or call (309) 269-4213
